Loving RSS feeds

I used to move between my favourite blogs and sites to see if there has been anything new added, but now with Google Reader and RSS feeds I can review everything in one place. It's my new favourite toy.

Wallwisher

I worked late into the night working on Assignment 2 and have decided to add Wallwisher to my WebQuest as a place for brainstorming. Wallwisher is a collaborative tool that allows users to post thoughts on a common topic using electronic sticky notes on a shared digital wall. Each sticky allows images, audio or video as well as 160 characters. Thought I would build a Wall to play with. Go to this site and add a sticky by double clicking on the wall. You can change the "anonymous" name to your own.
It's going to be a sunny weekend and I am going to take time away from the computer to work outside. Garden, here I come.

Assignment 2

I'm working on my second assignment. In this assignment I have to develop a group activity that requires my students to create a multimedia product. I'm thinking a WebQuest. This will be my first and I am doing a ton of research. A WebQuest is an inquiry driven task where the learner finds all of the information on the web. I am planning to have students research an area of BC to visit.

The sentence ending "exclamation mark" could have ended better, but I'm happy with it overall. I had 588 views in one day on the slideshare site. Guess this is an interesting subject. To do this I created a powerpoint, used audacity to create the audio, uploaded both to slideshare and then created a slidecast. To finish off I had to sych the audio to the slides and then embedded the whole thing here and on my course blog. Piece of cake!
